What is the difference between Quark and Quark2?

The first-generation Quark and the newer Quark2 use the same hardware. The changes in Quark2 are software and firmware related, resulting in several new features and capabilities not available in the first-gen Quark.

Quark2 is radiometric and has enhanced automatic gain control (AGC).
