Three FLIR Detection Products Win ‘ASTOR’ Homeland Security 2016 Awards

Aimed toward addressing increasing homeland security threats, American Security Today annually honors ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards’ winners for outstanding product development achievements and exciting new technologies. For 2016, it is with great pride and honor to announce FLIR’s achievements across two product award categories, noting three FLIR Detection products in distinguished excellence, and assisting the outstanding safety efforts of law enforcement, first responders, IT and port security.

Most notably, FLIR’s identiFINDER R200 achieved the Gold Award for Best CBRNE Detection System. With clear user interface and simple data presentation common to all identiFINDER products, the FLIR identiFINDER R200 allows for quick integration with existing operational protocols, reducing the training burden and allowing more time dedicated toward keeping our nation safe.

Also within the CBRNE Detection System category, the FLIR identiFINDER R100, our smallest radiation detector for first responders, took the Platinum Award. The FLIR Fido X2 received the Platinum Award for Best Investigation/Surveillance/Detection Product, offering high-performance, handheld explosives trace detection and armed with our award-winning TrueTrace® technology for superior detection assistance.
